Dogwood Festival Not Far Away!

It's spring ya know. No, really it is. The calender says so anyway. Never mind that mother nature seems to still be fighting off a New Years hangover. Hopefully she'll wake up soon and realize the 2013 Dogwood Festival is coming up May 4 and 5. It's not that far away. In fact, if you're going to be in the parade, the deadline for entry is even closer.

One of Quincy's most well known events will again feature the famous block parties, the big parade on Saturday morning and again Washington Park will be bustling with rides, amusement booths, a craft and hobby fair, chainsaw carving, a plant sale, plenty of entertainment and plenty more.

Those interested in being a part of this year's parade must be signed up by April 19. You can get the entry form, and find out all of the rules and regulations, by visiting the Quincy Chamber of Commerce online.

Dogwood weekend tends to take Quincy over and this year will be no exception, as other events will be held around the city as well. They include a photography show, square dancing, an architectural walking tour and of course the Dogwood Bowl 5-on-5 flag football tournament.
