July is National Ice Cream Month, which was established in 1984 by President Ronald Reagan. For the past 30 years, we have been enjoying our ice cream, especially during the heat of the summertime. Yesterday in Parade Magazine, there was a story about each of the 50 states having their own favorite kinds of ice cream.

According to Parade, both Missouri and Illinois favor vanilla ice cream, while Iowans enjoy pralines 'n' cream the best. The results are based upon the top selling ice creams at Baskin Robbins across America.

According to the results, I was surprised to see that only two states preferred chocolate ice cream. Those two were Mississippi and West Virginia.
