This year's theme for the Parade of Light Parade is from my FAVORITE Christmas movie (and no, it's not a Hallmark Christmas movie).

The 2018 Parade of Lights, scheduled for December 6, will be the sixth annual event for Canton and this year they're making it an Elf theme! Since it's kind of hard to find major light displays in the area, many towns in the area are doing their part to come up with new holiday traditions. And the Canton Parade of Lights is the perfect example. And I can't wait to see what they come up with this year.

If you would like to be in the parade, contact Anne Fryer at 217-248-9755 or email her at annefryer9755@gmail.com.

While no other details have been announced as of yet, I do know that, last year, there was a tree lighting ceremony in Central Park as well as a stand that sold some of the best hot cocoa I've ever had. Hopefully both of those things come back. I have a funny feeling those activities and more will be announced soon.

So if you're looking to start a new family tradition, we'll see you in Canton on December 6!
