Caitlin Lee To Receive Special Recognition At American Legion Event on Friday

Caitlin Lee, the daughter of our afternoon radio personality Dave Lee, will be receiving special recognition at the American Legion convention in Springfield, Illinois on Friday.

You might remember that we mentioned that Caitlin began a fundraising project in Barry to raise money for replacing flags for the Memorial Day weekend by selling Freedom Isn't Free bracelets.  Each flag has the name of a local veteran on it.

The American Legion will be recognizing Caitlin's special efforts and we couldn't be prouder of her.  She will be speaking at the convention on Friday and if she has her father's public speaking DNA, then a standing ovation will almost certainly ensue.

In all seriousness, this is a well-deserved honor for Caitlin and her family.  Caitlin was also the catalyst behind a fundraising effort for Joplin tornado victims last year. Congrats!  We're proud of you!
