Each Friday at 9:30am, KICK-FM will feature an artist on the rise during the Breakthrough Artist of the Week, brought to you by Glass One Quincy, home of the hassle free guarantee.

Rural Canadian Tenille Townes has been enamoured with music, singing and songwriting ever since she was a child belting out Shania Twain and U2 in the backseat of the car during road trips. This evolved into studying lyric sheets, learning to read music, and developing her own writing skills, all before she learned how to drive. After making the move to Nashville, she worked hard writing by day, performing by night, and eventually landed a deal with Big Yellow Dog and cut her first LP with producer Jay Joyce. Visit Tenille Townes' website for more info. Her music, including the single "Somebody's Daughter," is available on iTunes, and through Amazon.
