Breakthrough Artist of the Week: Chance McKinney

Chance McKinney may be our Breakthrough Artist, but he is by no means a newcomer to country music. He started over a decade ago in the Seattle area, honing his craft around the city that gave us Pearl Jam, Jimi Hendrix, Foo Fighters and Kenny G. He finally met up with with another local musician to form the duo Nathan Chance, who would share the stage with the likes of Little Big Town and Kenny Chesney. After the duo disbanded, he pursued his solo career. With a sound he describes as country lyrics on a pop structure with metal guitars, Chance McKinney has released three albums, and performed with Blake Shelton, Dierks Bentley and Dwight Yoakam.
