Looking for a Christmas music fix, but want to class it up a bit more than Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer (arguably the classiest of all traditional Christmas songs)? The orchestras in both Hannibal and Quincy have you covered this weekend, and if you time it right, you could hit both concerts.

First up, here in Quincy is "On A Starry Night" at the Salem Church 3pm on Saturday afternoon. According to a press release, "The joyful celebration of the wondrous sounds of the season will feature instrumental accompaniment for seasonal Christmas carols." Tickets are $18, but kids 18 and under always get in to Quincy Symphony Orchestra events for free. You can call the Symphony office at 217-222-2856 or visit qsoa.org for more information.

Later that evening down at the Parker Theatre at Hannibal LaGrange University, the Mark Twain Chorale and Hannibal Area String Orchestra will perform Christmas songs starting at 7pm to "offer an evening of Peace and Harmony during what can be a chaotic holiday season." Admission is free, with free will offerings accepted.

Should be a fun night of great music, and a good time for the whole family!
