Bon Jovi are no strangers to country music, having scored a No. 1 hit in the genre with their Jennifer Nettles-assisted version of ‘Who Says You Can’t Go Home’ back in 2006. So it’s not a huge surprise to see that guitarist Richie Sambora is working with country duo Big and Rich. So we guess that means we can call them “Big and Richie,” if only for a song?

John Rich tweeted a photo of Sambora knuckling down on his guitar in the studio, in front of the board. It’s certainly a keyhole view into the process, which is not something that country or rock fans can get every single day. Rich shared the pic this morning (June 16), adding the caption: “Can’t believe Richie Sambora is jammin’ on the new @bigandrich record!”

Believe it!

We can see the guitarist’s back and his side profile in this shot. However, judging from the energy that pops off the screen, not to mention that which emanates from Rich’s tweet, it looks like the New Jersey rock legend is having a good time laying down his guitar part.

It’s going to be interesting to hear the fruit of this labor, that’s for sure.
