The Backwoods Boat Festival comes to Carthage, Illinois on August 22 and 23. The event is part cardboard boat regatta and part two day concert.

The event at Lake Hill Winery will feature two big nights of music, starting Friday, August 22 with Chris Cagle headlining. Also playing that night is Jared Harness & Blackgrass and The Devin Clemons Band. Friday nights entertainment starts at 7 p.m..

On Saturday, August 23, it's Confederate Railroad along with Madd Hoss Jackson and Staggard. Saturday nights entertainment begins at 5:30 p.m.

Chris Cagle has found plenty of country chart success with hits like 'Laredo,' What Kinda Gone,' 'Chicks Dig It,' 'Country By The Grace Of God,' and a #1 hit 'I Breathe In, I Breathe Out' in 2001.

Confederate Railroad scored top ten hits in the 1990's with 'Jesus And Mama,' 'Queen of Memphis,' 'Trashy Women,' and 'Daddy Never Was The Cadillac Kind.'

Two day passes are available for $35 in advance at Lake Hill Winery and Wear Drug, both in Carthage. Tickets at the gate will cost $40.
