Applebee’s Bringing Back $1 Drinks Just In Time For Christmas

To be honest, I have no idea what the phrase "went over like gangbusters" specifically means, but if it means what I kinda sorta maybe think it means, Applebee's serving $1 margaritas back in October did that. Wildly popular for them. And they've brought it back, just in time for you to be spending more time with family and coworkers at Christmas parties!

Applebee's recently announced the month-long special starts December 1st. "The Dollar L.I.T. is kind to your pocket book and a great drink to share with old friends and new ones this holiday season," said Patrick Kirk, senior vice president of beverage innovation at Applebee's, and owner of coolest job title at Applebee's, in a press release.

For those unfamiliar with a Long Island Iced Tea, you take all the clear liquors, gin, vodka, tequila, rum, triple sec, sweet & sour mix (NOT sweet & sour sauce) and cola. I've known bars to do fancy things to make it a different kind of "Iced Tea," but the basic foundation is all that. It's a pretty tasty drink and will get you good and sloshed. For the next month, you can have a raging hangover for less than $5.

The deal will apply all day every day in the month of December, and the local Applebee's opens at 11am, so in the words of Little Big Town,

Don't want to wait til the sun's sinking
We could be feeling all right

Why don't we do a little day drinking
