Danielle Colby of television’s “American Pickers” will be visiting Quincy on June 18 for the Quincy Summertime Pickers Market at the Oakley Lindsay Center. Nicknamed “The Queen of Rust”, Colby will have a booth of items for sale and will also conduct a few do-it-yourself sessions at the “Pickers Market DIY Stage”.

Described as “a true American experience”, the Market features more than 100 booths of “vintage items, handmade crafts, re-purposed items, original art, architectural salvage, direct sales, and awesome junk you just can’t resist”.

The event spans the weekend of June 18 and 19. Admission is $5 per day and dads get in for free on Sunday (Father’s Day). Children 8 years of age and under are free both days.

For more information, find the Quincy Summertime Pickers Market event on Facebook.

And in case you missed it, the American Pickers themselves will be touring Missouri in May looking for "rusty gold" to feature in upcoming episodes.
