All Star Game – Does It Matter To You? Football Season Is Near!

Everyone is talking about the Major League Baseball All Star Game. Sorry, but I am not the biggest baseball fan. It moves too slow, and I end up not really watching the game. I end up watching other people in the stands.

Over the weekend I noticed that the first Chicago Bears preseason game is Friday August 8. Bring on FOOTBALL!

Now I understand that not many people want to think about football this early in the year. Makes people think about cold and snow. I, too, feel the same way. It almost makes the summer come to a premature end.

Just think - we could be in Canada. The CFL preseason started June 14. The Saskatchewan Roughriders, the 2013 Grey Cup Champions, play their week 5 game against the Toronto Argonauts on Saturday July 26. Here in Quincy, the game will air at 9:00pm on ESPN2 (I'll watch what I can after the Craig Morgan concert at the Adams County Fair).

So, are you watching the All Star Game this year? Are you excited that football season is near? Are you disappointed that the defending Grey Cup Champions are only 1 - 2 this season and in last place in the CFL West Division?
