I appreciate the many of you that take the time to check out my blogs on a daily basis. OK, let me correct that. I would like to thank BOTH of you that read my blogs. I forgot that there has to be more than two for it to be "many". Anyway, I realize this may be breaking the rules, but I'd like to write a blog about blogging. Kind of like the Seinfeld episode where Kramer wrote a coffee table book about coffee tables.

One of the challenges of blogging is coming up with a picture to represent what the blog is about. In this case, I've included a picture of my daughter, Grace. It really has nothing to do with the blog, but I wanted to. So there. It can be a challenge considering some of the strange things I write about. For example, you have no idea how hard it is to find a picture to go with my blog about how I tried to jump my Evel Knievel doll over a creek in Hannibal.

I also have a real hard time imagining that anyone else really cares what I think about anything. Frankly, I don't even really care what I think about when it comes to this stuff. Why anyone would take the time to actually read my musings is beyond me. I'm just a big dork that loves computers, Mustangs, Firebirds and Camaros and my brain waves don't venture much deeper than that.

People really do read these (as you are apparently doing now). And, forgive my French, but that's just weird to me. While I appreciate the fact that you (or anyone else) would take the time to peruse my articles, think about all the other things you could be doing that would be a better use of your time. Go read limericks to your dog. Name squirrels in your trees after former (or current) Chicago Cub managers. Take the time to solve the Rubik's Cube you have sitting in a box in your basement. To me, those would all be more productive activities than reading my blogs.

All those things being said, I do enjoy sharing thoughts with you no matter how twisted and strange those thoughts may be. I also do requests (within reason...no "50 Shades of Grey" crap please). If you're interested in a subject, fire it at me and I'll write a really strange blog about it. Just don't be surprised when I come back with a really weird story about mules.
