Sometimes it can seem like finding your way through a jungle when you're looking for a parking spot at the mall. Other times the Quincy Mall parking lot is literally a jungle. Jungle Safari is returning to Quincy Mall August 27-30!

"One of our most popular events of the year, the Jungle Safari brings in live exotic animals for four days on our front lot, FREE to see, 8/27 – 8/30," said Mike Jenkins, Quincy Mall's Director of Marketing. "Lions, tigers, monkeys, lemurs, a baby kangaroo, a black leopard and more, have all made visits to Quincy Mall."

Jenkins says that the exhibit is not only fun, but also teaches the public about exotic animals they might not know a lot about. "Jungle Safari is an educational traveling zoo that believes it is not only important to exhibit the animals but to educate the public as well. They do several free lectures throughout the day, and conduct assemblies at local elementary schools & daycare facilities to bring the animals to the kids. It’s a great opportunity for children and families to come see some of the most beautiful animals on the planet that they may not otherwise have a chance to see other than on TV or in pictures."

Jungle Safari does not charge admission for families to come in under the tent and look, although there are parts of the exhibit that require a fee, like a petting zoo, photo opportunities, and horse and camel rides.

The public will be able to feed some of the animals in the petting zoo, and there will be daily public feedings of the “big cats" during Jungle Safari.
