Yesterday I posted five summer songs to help you shake the winter and spring off and get you ready for the season of sun. Most of the feedback I got was, "Hey! Good list!" But some people were wondering why I focused so much on songs with summer in the title. What can I say? I like thematic threads. So I set out to make another list, with groovy little summer songs that don't have summer in the title. So obviously James Otto's Groovy Little Summer Song is out.

1 - Pontoon - Little Big Town

On the pontoon
Makin' waves and catchin' rays up on the roof
Jumpin' out the back, don't act like you don't want to
Party in slow motion
Out here in the open
Mm, motorboatin'

2 - Barefoot Blue Jean Night - Jake Owen

Yeah, caught in a southern summer, barefoot, blue jean night

3 - Toes - Zac Brown Band

I got my toes in the water, ass in the sand
Not a worry in the world, a cold beer in my hand
Life is good today Life is good today

4 - River Bank - Brad Paisley

We got an inner-tube,
We got a trailer hitch.
We're near the river and far from rich.
But we have got each other and gas in the tank,
We're laughing all the way to the river bank.

5 - Take A Back Road - Rodney Atkins

And it makes me wanna take a back road
Makes me wanna take the long way home
Put a little gravel in my travel
Unwind, unravel all night long

HONORABLE MENTION - Maren Morris - My Church

But I find holy redemption
When I put this car in drive
Roll the windows down and turn up the dial
