3 Things National Tom Sawyer Days has in common with The Hunger Games

Have you seen The Hunger Games yet and/or read the book?  If so, have you noticed the things the story has in common with our own National Tom Sawyer Days?

1. Katniss and Peeta (C'mon...if Tom and Becky were trying to attack each other in the woods, they could be in Hunger Games 2)
2. Haymitch Abernathy is the mentor of Katniss and Peeta and is not known for being sober in the book.  (Hello?  Huck Finn?)
3. Panem has a wealthy capitol and 12 not-wealthy poorer districts.  (Follow me on this one.  Imagine if Panem were the Jaycees and the 12 not-wealthy districts were local marching bands...and the losing district was required to march behind the mules/horses in the 4th of July Parade)
