2015 Polar Plunge for Special Olympics Coming to Quincy’s Moorman Lake
The 2015 edition of the Polar Plunge, benefiting Special Olympics of Illinois, is coming up Saturday, February 28 at Quincy's Moorman Lake. KICK-FM and Y-101 are proud to be sponsors.
The Polar Plunge is presented by the Law Enforcement Torch Run and Geico. Plungers will take a deep breath and jump into the icy waters of the lake in Quincy's Upper Moorman Park to raise money for Special Olympics of Illinois. Plungers raise money by having people sponsor their chilly efforts, and this year we are excited that our own Michael Rose is taking the plunge on behalf of us at KICK-FM and Y-101. We encourage everyone to make a donation in Michaels name on his fundraising page.
Quincy's event will begin with check-in from 10:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. The plunge will then take place immediately following. Online registration for Saturday's plunge will end at 7:00 a.m. Saturday morning, February, 28.
